About Me

I’m so glad you’re here.

Hi hi! My name is Kailani.

Before I became a therapist, I was a self-proclaimed self-help queen. My bookshelf was full with books by Brianna Wiest, Jenna Kutcher, and anything and everything by Brene Brown. I spent my life always searching for the “right way”. It wasn’t until I realized I had everything I needed to heal already inside of me that I finally started to feel relief and embodiment. I’ve fallen in love with movement again and love practicing yoga, running in the warm sun, and walking my dogs through the national forest near my home.

I truly don’t think life would be as beautiful without a chai latte in my hand while gearing up to go to my favorite thrift stores on weekends.

My car is (almost) never clean and I forget to put the laundry in the dryer at least once a week. I don’t always have my shit together, despite being a therapist, but I’ve gotten really good at asking for help - and laughing - along the way.

I’m an introvert who learned early on how to take care of everyone else’s needs before my own, and then, through my own therapy, re-learned how to embrace the magic of putting myself first so I could be a better wife, friend, daughter, and therapist.

I work with women who have gotten really good at ignoring their needs in order to make others comfortable. I know they’ve been called one of the “strong ones” or the “good girls” of the world. They’re trying to re-learn how to listen to their gut and intuition, unabashedly take up space, and care a bit less about what others think about them. Having had my own experience with this, I know the value of stepping fully into who you are and creating a life you love.

If you suspect there’s a more joyful side of life that’s waiting for you, somewhere underneath all the pain, but are terrified the minute you’ll step into healing you will never return to “normal” - well, you’re in the right place. I’m here to be your therapist, co-pilot, collaborator, and all around hype-woman.

Why choose to work with me?

As a mental health therapist and health and wellness professional, I take an integrative and holistic approach to therapy. This means that I consider various aspects of your life, including your childhood, friendships, workplace, overall wellness, and even your pets. I believe that it's crucial to understand how you exist within systems and communities because we don't live in isolation.

I help women find peace in their lives, relationships, career, and within their body. Whether you are graduating college, new to motherhood, or making a career change, I offer a safe space and will walk with you through the transition while knowing that your past might show up in the process.

I think it’s also important to know that I specialize in treating trauma through "bottom-up" approaches. If you've tried talk therapy before without much benefit, it's likely because trauma can reside in our body, not just the logical parts of our brains. Simply talking about it doesn't always lead to resolving the root cause. Instead, I focus on teaching you skills and tools that are more body-focused to address both the physical and emotional impacts of trauma. You will learn how to feel emotions in your body, trust that gut instinct, and truly embody this experience called life.

“Just because no one else can heal or do your inner work for you, doesn’t mean you can, should, or need to do it alone.”
